Do you want to be righteous but can't?

By From A Friend at 06/16/08 14:13

You are probably better off saying I want to but confessing to God you can't, then to say I am righteous and without sin. Listen to this.

For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.

For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.

For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth. Romans10:2-4.

If we try to establish our own righteousness we will eventually fail. It is actually rebellion against God.We are putting Christ to an open shame. But if we believe in Christ we are justified.

Read Luke18:9-14.

Oh God have mercy on me a sinner.

Accounted as sheep for the slaughter

By From A Friend at 06/16/08 11:50
Who shall seperate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

As it is written, FOR THY SAKE WE ARE KILLED ALL THE DAY LONG; WE ARE ACCOUNTED AS SHEEP FOR THE SLAUGHTER.

Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. Romans8:35-37

If is the hinge to the door of fear

By From A Friend at 06/16/08 11:37
If God spoke it, it is established. It is a fact. It is truth.

By his stripes ye were healed.

Fear ye not, neither be afraid: have not I told thee from that time, and have declared it? ye are even my witnesses. Is there a God besides me? yea, there is no God: I know not any.

Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

They that observe lying vanities forsake their own mercy.

Look them up.

Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,

And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:

That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteuosness.

But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:

And in hell he lift up his eyes

By From A Friend at 06/11/08 11:44
And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried;

And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Laz'-a-rus in his bosom.

Once the judgement comes there is no turning back. Luke 16:19-31.

Relationship

By From A Friend at 06/10/08 12:18
What constitutes a relationship with God? Is it having a public ministry? Is it about working? Is it having knowledge of the bible? All of these are part of it, but, it's easy to become corrupted from recognition or money or knowledge.

It's about having truth and integrity on the inside. It's about being honest and open, loving and caring, showing and being disciplined. All of these are the outcome of God's Spirit living inside of us. Jesus converses with us everyday [if we will listen]. Our mind thinks on God because when we don't that is Satan's time.

It is ultimately walking in the footsteps of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ [dying to ourselves first then if called martyrdom] We fear God and love God and obey God according to His Word and Spirit. Faith cometh by hearing God's Word the Lord Jesus Christ. Romans 10:17 12:16

Preaching

By From A Friend at 06/10/08 11:26
And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing [persuasive] words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:

That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God. 1 Corinthians2:4-5 9-10.

There is a difference between teaching and preaching. We all can teach but preaching is demonstration.

Teaching

By From A Friend at 06/09/08 10:31
For i long to see you, that i may impart unto you some spiritual gift, to the end ye may be established;

That is, that i may be comforted together with you by the mutual faith both of you and me. Romans1:11-12.

Oh how Paul longed to teach, yet understanding that the same faith which is in him is in all of us [that is the gift of God], but yet he humbly and diligently preached the same salvation that saved his soul.

Not only that, but he wanted to impart the Power or Spirit of God that was imparted in him and therein is the comfort , knowing that we received It.

Love

By From A Friend at 06/04/08 13:36
Owe no man anything, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law. Romans13;8

Love worketh no ill to his neighbor; therefore love is the fulfilling of the law. Romans13:10

Sin

By From A Friend at 06/03/08 13:30
Sin is sin. As Christians we should not bash those who are living in sin but rather pray for them. For we ourselves were in sin but by the grace of God he saved us. Sin means to miss the mark and not share in the prize.

When you see sin [for example homosexuality] that is the result of God giving them over to a reprobate mind [not thinking of them any more]. Their sin is the result of that. Should not we cry out to God to think on them[for the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance]Romans2:4. If we do not pray for them who will? God have mercy on us that we obey him. If He finds ten righteous would'nt he spare our country? Now more then ever should'nt we seek guidance from Jesus?

Professing themselves to be wise they became fools. Romans1:22-32.

Why worship idols?

By From A Friend at 06/03/08 13:04
Why do we give our affections to idols who can not see nor hear nor walk; allthough today they can because of technology[t.v satelite, wireless]

But listen to the things concerning Jesus Christ. Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh;

And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead: Romans1:3-4.

Does that affect you, risen from the dead, we also shall be like him. Why not seek that with affection? If we believe the bible then we will also obey. How then could we give our bodies over to man and his inventions if Christ is going to raise us from the dead. We shall die no more if we have faith in Christ. Man can only temporarily sustain you [if God will allow ] but he can never cause you to live forever. When the Spirit of Christ enters in we are a new creation.

Saved spirit, soul, and body! Hallelujah!
