The head of every man is Christ

First of all, when ye come together in the church, I hear that there be divisions among you: and I partly believe it.

For there must be also heresies [ act of taking, capture; e. g. storming a city; a body of men following their own tenets [sect or party] Sadducees, Pharisees, of the Christians; dissensions arising from diversity of aims.] among you, that they which are approved [accepted, particularly of coins and money] may be made manifest among you. 1 CORIN. 11:18-19.

The body of Christ is the Church; not some building. Not men who set themselves up as leaders. We are the church; Those who have put their faith in Christ alone.And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. Mark 16:17-18.

That Satan tempt you not

In 1 Corinthians 7:5 there is reason for temptation. We can move ourselves into the realm of temptation. By disobeying God, by covetousness, by lack of wisdom.

In this case a man could be tempted by Satan by not coming together again with his wife. In Peter's case it was pretty much the same as Job's; speaking foolishly. John 13:37 Job 38:2

Let us be wise as serpents and harmless as doves. Matt 10:16

What is a Christian?

A Christian is a person who is no different [to look at] then the people of the world. We eat and drink, we put our pants on the same, we have jobs and families, hobbies, we enjoy things, but we give thanks to God for all things knowing it is the will of God to heal and to save and in Christ have life and have it more abundantly John 10:10 .

Everything starts in the Spirit [for that of the Spirit is forever] . The Word of God is our teacher, our guidance councelor, what we make decisions by. Christians are brave and couragous because they trust in Jesus, they stand for something good and right and just ......Jesus Christ. Hebrews 13:5 Romans 14:17.

The wages of sin is death

But the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans6:23

When we become sick or dis-eased that is incipient death [or the beginning of death]. Right away a red flag should go up. [Lord, what have I done] Prayer is in order. James5:13-16.

Reckon yourselves dead unto sin

For he that is dead is freed from sin.

Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him:

Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him.

For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God.

Likewise reckon [count,compute,calculate,count over] ye also yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.

Neither yield ye your members as instuments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.

For sin SHALL NOT have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. Romans6;7-14.

Jesus will guide us into all truth.

Delivered out of temptation

And turning the cities of Sodom and Go-mor'-rha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly;

And delivered just [righteous, observe divine laws] Lot, vexed [wearied] with the filthy conversation of the wicked:

[For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed [tortured] his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds;]

The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgement to be punished: 11Peter2:6-9

You can't serve God and money

Sounds strange does'nt it. For every man works for what he has. But when we obey God and give there is no end to the blessings.Money is a trap. If you let it it can rule your life. Let God lead you, for every thing in the world is His. He will guide you and direct you whether you have money or not. The less we have the less you have to lose.

Oh that I could fly away Psalm 55:6

Better yet, that Jesus would return and lay down all rule and authority. Then the righteous would have judgement [starting with themselves]. What is right? what is lawful? What man says or what God says. We will find out shortly! All eyes shall see Him, no one shall escape judgement.

What is salvation?

What does it mean? Why would somebody need salvation?

To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in Me. Acts26:18

Man by default [because of the fall ] is under the power of Satan. No matter how hard you try you can't do good. You struggle and try to do right [and maybe for a time you do right] but you will always fall. You wonder why things fall apart, why sickness, why drugs and alcohol, why adultry, why death. These are all under the power of Satan. He by fear causes you to turn to inventions for magical cures and sometimes they work and sometimes they don't. If it does work then He has you right where He wants you [relying on Him].No matter what happens you will be under His decision and away from God. Living in darkness. But God in His mercy will cause you to hit rock bottom and cry out for salvation.
