The Cross

By From A Friend at 05/27/08 11:46

If you believe that Jesus died for you on the cross it does'nt end there, for he was raised for our justification.

Now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was imputed to him [Abraham]

But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead;

Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.

Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

And not only so, but we glory in tribulation also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; Romans4:23-25 5:1-3

The Lord's a God of judgement

By From A Friend at 05/23/08 10:11
God is jealous, and the Lord revengeth; the Lord revengeth, and is furious; the Lord will take vengeance on his adversaries, and he reserveth wrath for his enemies.

The Lord is slow to anger, and great in power, and will not at all acquit the wicked: the Lord hath his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet.

He rebuketh the sea, and maketh it dry, and drieth up all the rivers: Ba,-shan languisheth, and Carmel, and the flower of Leb'-a-non languisheth.

The mountains quake at him, and the hills melt, and the earth is burned at his presence, yea, the world, and all that dwell therein.

Who can stand before his indignation? and who can abide in the fierceness of his anger? his fury is poured out like fire, and the rocks are thrown down by him.

The Lord is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him. Nahum1:2-7

Faith

By From A Friend at 05/22/08 14:42
To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.Acts26:18

If faith is in Christ then no man can boast, for it is a gift.Praise be unto God!

Assurance unto all

By From A Friend at 05/22/08 09:53
Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man's device.

And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:

Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained ; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead. Acts17:29-31

Are you content?

By From A Friend at 05/21/08 09:46
There are many different people doing many different things, some doing nothing at all, but are you content? Doing things comes to an end, then what? Some day we all must die then ..................judgement.

If you are not content you can be this very minute, by praying to God and seeking Jesus Christ for he is life.HE IS LIFE. Living day to day is not life but putting our very lives in His hands is.

Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter:Fear God, and keep His commandments:For this is the whole duty of man. Ecclesiastes 12:13. Matthew 17 :5. Acts6:2-4.

Sin and righteousness

By From A Friend at 05/20/08 14:31
For as by one man's disobedience[Adam] many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one [Jesus] shall many be made righteous. Moreover the law [10 commandments] entered, that the offence might abound [Romans 7:13] . But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:

That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.

Give your sin to Jesus, for only He can deliver you wholly. Romans5:19-21.

Don't deceive yourself into thinking you are righteous and without sin. Only Jesus can make that claim.

Rise from the dead

By From A Friend at 05/19/08 12:17
That Christ should suffer, and that he should be the first that should rise from the dead, and should show light [to shine or make manifest] unto the people, and to the Gentiles. Acts26:23.

God has through his prophets caused many to rise from the dead, but the difference with Christ rising from the dead is that he gave knowledge or revelation of that experience. If we believe that Christ is risen from the dead, then we will have no fear of death because Jesus conquered death and will save us. Death no longer has dominion over us. We then will not be so terrified of disease and turn to man and his inventions for healing [for sickness is insipient death] because Jesus is Life. Halleluiah!

tribulation

By From A Friend at 05/19/08 11:34
And there came thither certain Jews from An'ti-och and I-co'-ni-um,who persuaded the people, and, having stoned Paul, drew him out of the city, supposing he had been dead. Howbeit,as the disciples stood round about him,he rose up,and came into the city: and the next day he departed with Barnabas to Der'-be. And when they had preached the gospel to that city, and had taught many, they returned again to Lys'-tra, and to I-co'-ni-um, and An'-ti-och, Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God. Acts 14:19-22.

persecution

By From A Friend at 05/19/08 11:18
The closer you get to Jesus the more you will be persecuted. Only you and God know to what degree you will be persecuted. It starts with being ostracized. Don't condemn yourself, for you are doing nothing wrong [if you are keeping the commandments of God]. The strength has to come from God. Only God can direct you in the right path; for he will move your heart. 1 thess.1:4-6.

Are there not 10 righteous

By From A Friend at 05/16/08 10:01
City after city is being destroyed. Not to say there's not ten righteous in that city, for Lot was righteous and Abraham prayed for him, but if there be but ten then would not God spare that city.

Who do we have to answer to as a country or who will represent us? Is there not one who can make us feel ashamed and tell us to repent and turn to God?

Oh how the Lord's heart grieves, for our sin has reached even to heaven.
